The civil service should be people-friendly and service-minded. It is the view of the Chief Minister that the present Public Grievance Redressal System was initiated. There were several parallel mechanisms to deal with complaints received by the Chief Minister. But none of these were effective. In other states, IT Complaint-based grievance redressal systems have been in place for many years and are far from advanced. The CMO portal, which is a model for the country today, was created by integrating the parallel grievance redressal mechanisms that existed when the first Pinarayi government came to power on May 25, 2016.
